Ayan Mukerji’s science fiction film ‘Brahmastra’ won big at the 70th National Awards and both the director and Karan Johar, one of the producers of the film, were felicitated with the prestigious award on the last day.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Karan Johar penned a note by saying that every time he steps onto the stage, he has a kind of ‘Magical’ feeling that always remains -gratitude.

The ace director also shared his gratitude towards the Ministry of I & B for their constant support and strength to the film community.

Karan Johar’s post read, “Every time I step onto this stage, it’s always a different feeling of magic. But there’s one feeling that always remains - gratitude. Thank you @mib_india for the constant support & strength for our film fraternity to tell stories and bring it to the people of our nation. And thank you to the audience, for the bountiful love that you shower.”

His note further read, “This is the third time for me on stage, and the magnanimity of it all is not lost on me. And what a day to celebrate - since today also marks 44 years of @dharmamovies!”

Karan Johar further praised Ayan Mukerji and the entire team of ‘Brahmastra’ for creating a milestone in the film industry. The ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ director concluded by saying, “@ayan_mukerji, here’s to #Brahmastra being etched in history. To the team, who made the magic happen - thank you!”
‘Brahmastra’ won the National Award for the categories ‘Best Film in AVGC, Best Male Playback Singer, and Best Music Director.
