Kanye West, also known as Ye, faced a major setback recently when he was banned from the Twitch streaming platform within minutes of launching his first livestream.
As reported by Dexerto.com, the rapper appeared to be in a motel room during the stream, where he began making offensive remarks targeting various communities. Kanye directed hateful comments towards Jewish people, the LGBTQ+ community, and also made derogatory statements about the Kardashian family, including his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. It was mentioned that Elon Musk had earlier given Kanye access to the platform, but this opportunity quickly turned problematic due to Kanye’s behavior during the livestream.
The livestream lasted only around seven minutes before it was cut off. Viewers suddenly saw a message on the screen saying, “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.” Many fans were left confused, asking online what Kanye had done to get banned so quickly.
After the stream ended, images circulated online showing Kanye allegedly making Nazi-style salutes during the livestream, which many believe contributed to Twitch’s immediate decision to ban him. Sources close to Kanye suggested that despite the ban, he might have achieved his goal of reaching certain groups of people he was trying to connect with.
Interestingly, while Kanye’s behavior drew a lot of criticism, some fans still showed support for him on social media. On X (formerly Twitter), a few users defended the rapper, with one fan writing, “I am really starting to like Kanye,” and another demanding, “Unban him.”
So far, Kanye has not made any public statement regarding his ban from Twitch. Known for his unpredictable and controversial responses, many are waiting to see if he will address the situation soon.
Meanwhile, separate reports have hinted that Kanye is planning another big move. An insider claimed that the rapper is preparing a major stunt for the upcoming American Music Awards 2025. Event organizers have reportedly been alerted about the possibility of Kanye making a surprise appearance.
