Rapper Diddy has recently been undergoing trial for various charges such as sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution. In one of the recent trial hearings, one of his ex-girlfriends, singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, testified in court against the rapper. She admitted on trial that the rapper tortured her and made her undergo physical abuse. In their relationship that lasted on and off for around a decade, the singer also admitted that she also underwent sexual encounters with male escorts under the influence of drugs. All of these actions were done under Diddy’s directions, as per her statements.As the trial continues, reports have also shared that another one of the witnesses will potentially be Jennifer Lopez. The two were in a relationship on and off from 1999 to 2001, which turned sour very quickly. The two were together after the singer ended her marriage with Ojani Noa and began her relationship with Cris Judd.In a 2014 interview Lopez had also sung praises of the incarcerated rapper. According to an interview with Access Hollywood, the singer had shared with the interviewer that “He gave me so many cues and taught me so many things.” She also added to the statement that the two remain close and that there is still a lot of mutual respect and admiration between the two.Even though Lopez has praised Diddy in recent years, the time of their relationship and breakup in 2001 was something quite different. The singer had gone for an interview with the Vice, where she had shared some details about their relationship. She talked about how the rapper was unfaithful to her and had betrayed her trust as well. She shared during the interview that “It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts—it really sent my whole life into a tailspin.”Lopez continued by saying that the relationship was “torrid” and that coming out of it and meeting a new person (Chris Judd) was refreshing. She stated that “Coming out of a torrid relationship, I meet this sweet person who’s so refreshing.”Sean Diddy has been arrested on numerous occasions, and his stunt in 1999 was in connection to a shooting that occurred in a nightclub in New York. At the time of the crime, the rapper was with his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, along with his bodyguard at the time, Anthony ‘Wolf’, and another 21-year-old rapper, Jamal “Shyne” Barrow.As per reports shared by Forbes, the shooting happened due to a petty argument that ended up escalating pretty quickly. Combs and Barrow both were arrested on the charges; however, only Barrow’s charges stuck around. Combs was released; however, one of the three people that were injured during the shooting, Natania Reuben, shared with the public and has consistently stated that the shooting was done by Combs. Natania was shot in the face during the shooting, and in an interview with NewsNation, she even publicly shared that if required, she is willing to get a piece of the bullet shrapnel removed from her face for forensic testing. She also publicly admitted that she saw Combs fire the shot. In an interview with The Daily Beast, she shared that “I watched him. I saw him with my own eyes.”This case brought forth a lot of allegations against Diddy at the time. Due to Lopez’s presence during the crime, she may be called upon to present as a witness during the rapper’s ongoing trial.
