Directed by Christopher Landon, renowned for directing Paranormal Activity 3 Drop, a gripping thriller turns a peaceful date night into an unprecedented nightmare. Starring Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy and the It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar, the film comes from the famous Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes. Praised by critics, the film has been described as ‘an efficient thrill ride’ and ‘an unpretentious thrill ride’.
Drop follows a story of Violet (Meghann Fahy), a widowed mother finally taking a chance on love again, she’s thrilled when her date, Henry (Brandon Sklenar), is as handsome and charismatic as she’d hoped. But as sparks start to fly, an anonymous message pings her phone. Then another. And another. What she thought was an eerie prank quickly escalates into a deadly game—where everyone in the restaurant is either a suspect or the next victim. The tension-filled film teases heart-pounding moments, from Violet's rising panic to a chilling confrontation where Henry may not be who he seems. As the messages keep dropping, the real question emerges—who is behind the terrifying game, and how far will Violet go to survive?
While talking about Emmy Nominee Meghan Fahy, renowned for The Perfect Couple, takes on the lead role in Drop, Director Christopher Landon shared, “Meghann’s portrayal of Daphne in White Lotus blew my mind.” Landon further added, “She was so expressive and commanded so much attention just sitting at a table. I thought, if she can do that, she will be able to do the same in this role.”
