An Instagram post by an Indian software developer working in Sweden has gone viral. In the video the techie has detailed the corporate perks he enjoys while working for a Swedish company. The post details the extensive paid leaves, wellness allowance, parental benefits and many other benefits he enjoys. This viral post has made professional envy and impressed with the work culture of Europe.

An Instagram user with the name @roamwithashutosh recently shared a small video on Instagram revealing the benefits offered by a corporate office in Europe (Sweden).“What are the benefits an employee gets at a corporate office in Europe especially in the Nordics. Just you know it’s not for one/two companies. Most of the companies be it a small or large, give you these benefits. Note- I mentioned some amounts in INR as SEK may not be known to many,” reads the caption of the video.
In the video he detailed that employees get 30 days of paid vacation annually, with half-days before public holidays. He also mentioned that company offer up to Rs 40,000 for gym memberships, massages, and other health services. The company also helps the employee in setting up the work-from-home setup by paying up to Rs 50,000. The video also talks about the other corporate discounts, parental leaves and financial support employees get in case they loose the job.

Indian users flooded the comments section with reactions ranging from admiration to frustration. One user joked, “Leave lena haq hai, but yaha manager ko pehle manana padta hai” (Taking leave is a right, but here, you have to convince your manager first). Others pointed out that while Sweden’s work culture is appealing, its long winters and high taxes might not suit everyone.“It's good to know that you are getting such benefits and definitely due to you hard work efforts that made to receive that after getting job over there no doubt on that. However, there many factors for getting such employee benefits. Like Company's employees strength in the same county. Country's skilled labours volume. And that's people says can't compare an apple with an orange. Each has its own strengths and weakness,” commented one user.“Bhaiya sweden mai as a fresher kese apply kare?
